Masai Mara is a large game reserve measuring 1,510 kilometers square in south western Kenya contiguous with Serengeti National park in Tanzania.
It is famous for its exceptional population of lions, leopards, cheetahs and its annual migration of wildebeests,Zebras, gazelles and other species which occur from July to October.
It is at an elevation of 1754 meters above the sea level, the park is famous for the big five and bird’s sanctuary.
Explore Lake Nakuru National Park, an important wildlife sanctuary, hosting an abundance of birds and varied wildlife, including both white and black rhinos. A truly scenic and wildlife epic in Africa’s safari gem – Kenya!
Day 01: Nairobi – Masai Mara.
Depart Nairobi for Maasai Mara Game Reserve at 0700hrs stoping at the ascarpment to have a view of the great rift valley. Proceed arriving on time for lunch.
The game reserve covers 700 square miles of magnificent wilderness. It is the Africa of the imagination; endless reaches of acacia-dotted grasslands studded with hazy hills and home to large concentration of Lions’ in large prides, Elephants, buffaloes, zebras and numerous plain animals.
Accommodation at Masai Mara Manyatta camp/Lodge.
Day 02:Masai Mara
Full day game drive at the reserve in search of The Mara is the land of African legend; Lions, giraffes, and a variety of gazelle species, zebras, Cheetah, leopards, less commonly rhino.
Accommodation at the camp/lodge or similar.
Optional visit to Masai Village for a cultural tour can be arranged at extra cost of $25 per person. Also optional hot air balloon ride can be arranged this morning, then proceed with your game drive – $450 per person
Day 03: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru.
Early morning game drive then breakfast at around 0900hrs. Depart for Lake Nakuru lunch en-route.
Evening game drive to see thousands of Flamingos.Have a best chances of seeing black and white Rhinos.
Lake Nakuru National Park was the first place in Kenya selected as a rhino reserve. Here is one of the few places where we can also see endangered Rothschild’s Giraffes.
Accommodation at lake Nakuru camp/ lodge or similar.
Day 04:Lake Nakuru – Nairobi.
Breakfast then proceed for morning game drives and photographing birds and other big games at the park.
After lunch leave for Nairobi with la brief stopover at the Great Rift Valley for panoramic views of the escarpment.
Arrive Nairobi in the Evening and be dropped in the hotel/airport.
End of safari.
