Picked up from your hotel or Airport in the morning at 0700hrs. Depart from the airport/hotel to Lake Nakuru National Park which is 160km away from Nairobi through The Great African Rift Valley. Arrive around 0930hrs for your game drive. Lunch at Sarova Lion Hill lodge or lake Nakuru lodge.
Lake Nakuru has earned its fame as the home of the greatest bird spectacle in the world, innumerable pink flamingos that flock to feed at its shallow warm waters. The lake is rink by “pink” due to the presence of millions of Greater and Lesser flamingoes among the wild big cats.
The 188sq km Lake Nakuru park is the only KWS-administered game park that is fully enclosed. Once just a bird sanctuary, Lake Nakuru is now the best place in Kenya to see the highly protected black and white rhino. Among other animals found in the park include lions, leopards, Egyptian geese, Waterbuck, giraffe, hyena, buffalo, baboons, velvet monkeys, gazelles.
Leave the park around 1500hrs and arrive in Nairobi 1830hrs and you are dropped at your hotel/airport. Don’t miss this opportunity to get up close with some of Kenya’s most amazing birds and other wildlife.
